Komochizuki is a relaxing space that was renovated from a vacant house into a cafe. The old townhouse was renovated by reinforcing its structure while leaving the framework of the building intact. By allowing a view from the front garden to the back garden, the dark and closed-in townhouse was transformed into a continuous, bright cafe space. The rough wall that is exposed from under the existing wall has a beautiful cross-covering, and in contrast to the new earthen wall, the old and new blend together to create a new yet nostalgic space.
