Rather than the easy, convenient life of pushing just one button, they desired a slow life where they could pay attention to the changing seasons and the changes in nature. A life where they put time and effort into the details of life and enjoy each and every aspect with their own senses.
The earthen floor of the one-room apartment allows the valley breeze to pass through, and the furniture is raised so there are no drifts. In summer, a cool breeze blows across the rice fields through the reed doors, and in winter, the wood stove creates a comfortable indoor environment with no temperature differences throughout the house.
