The baths and guest rooms of this hot spring inn, which has an ancient theme, were renovated using local materials and a human scale. The stones and logs were from Matsue and Izumo, and the thatched roofs were made from reeds harvested from the Hii River. The masculine baths were named “Ken no Yu” and the feminine baths “Magatama no Yu,” both of which are ancient names. Men should bend over to watch their heads.
